Team FALKEN Motorsports Racecar Finishes 4th Overall at Nürburgring 24h-Race

Jun 8, 2021

Team FALKEN Motorsports, the racing team of Falken Tyre Europe (our group’s tire sales company in Europe), competed in the recent Nürburgring 24h-Race (Officially: the ADAC TOTAL 24-Hour Race), which was held in Nürburg, Germany this past June 3rd through 6th. Team FALKEN Motorsports fielded two Porsche 911 GT3R racecars (#44 and #33) in what is widely considered to be one of the world’s largest and toughest touring races. Amidst fierce competition, both FALKEN racecars not only finished the race, but also placed 4th (#44) and 9th (#33) in the overall rankings.

This year’s race was marked by inclement weather; the race even had to be suspended at one point due to dense fog and heavy rains, which also made the track quite slippery, leading many vehicles to spin out over the course of the race. Having started out the race in 28th and 29th place, the two racecars belonging to Team FALKEN Motorsports steadily managed to work their way up through the ranks in spite of the challenging driving conditions, which included a mix of both wet and dry road conditions.
These tricky environmental factors, coupled with the already extremely challenging Nürburgring course, made this year’s Nürburgring 24h-Race especially difficult to finish at all. However, with a racing strategy that put the reliable high performance of our FALKEN tires front and center, Team FALKEN Motorsports came together as a unified team to harness their full performance potential. Thanks to this outstanding teamwork, the two Porsche 911 GT3R racecars that were decked out in FALKEN Motorsports colors not only completed the race, but also managed to place 4th (#44) and 9th (#33) in the overall rankings.
